Dear Parents/Carers,
The Musicals 13th September 2008

Students will be required to arrive at the Civic Hall, Ellesmere Port at 10.45am.  They will need to bring a packed lunch and drinks - please note the Dramania shop will be open throughout the day selling drinks and snacks also.

All costumes must be brought with you together with any makeup and accessories.  Upon arrival you will be allocated your dressing rooms - all costumes bags etc must go to the dressing rooms as soon as you arrive.  We will be running the show from 11.00am in the morning then taking lunch and breaks throughout the afternoon.  Sometimes the process can take a while to get sound, lighting and any other issues correct, so you may be sat around for sometime. Please use this time to go over scripted pieces, dance routines etc.

The Doors will open at 4.30pm and the show will start at 5.00pm, which will run for 2 hours including a 20 minute interval. ... (more)

13 July 08 - 18:44Channel 5

I work as a Senior Researcher at a television production company, Wizzkid Entertainment. We’re making a documentary for Channel 5 and are looking for talented kids who are determined to succeed in their chosen field. We’d really like to meet children who are totally dedicated to what they’re doing, maybe they spend 20 hours a week acting, singing or dancing and have made a lot of sacrifices to succeed. We’d also like to hear from relatives who would be happy to give their perspective on the talented child in the family.

We want to start filming asap and would need the people involved to be available next week.

If you have anyone who might be interested, please can you call on 0207 4402592 or email me on Elizabeth.Hotson@whizzkid.tv

Thanks

Elizabeth

Idol 2008 is the music and dance competition for singers, vocal groups, dancers and dance groups to enter. The competition offers the competitors the opportunity to perform live in front of large audiences as well as the chance to win up to £25,000 in prizes.  Register, audition and compete and you will be offered fantastic opportunities to not only develop performance skills and personal ability, but to expose your talent. The latter stages of the competition provide competitors with the opportunity to impress the judges and many guests from record labels, agencies and the entertainment industry. 2007 was the competitions third year, growing from a regional competition for the South coast into a national competition, with over 10,000 applicants entering. This makes the competition the largest talent contest outside a certain ITV show. The 2007 competition was broadcasted on ITV (go to the home page to see the ITV coverage). ... (more)
